This video shows pooling of saliva in the hypopharynx of a patient with multiple cranial nerve palsies caused by skull base osteomyelitis. Choking, coughing, and hoarse voice were the presenting symptoms. There were vocal cord palsy, asymmetry of soft palate, and tongue deviation to the right which corresponds to lower motor neurone vagus, glossopharyngeal, and hypogossal nerve paralyses.
