This video shows a complete upper tracheal obstruction caused by dense scar tissue. Gentle probing revealed its hard consistency. Imaging study would delineate its vertical length of involvement and the lower limit of stenosis. Tracheostomy was performed earlier to save the airway. Resection and re-anastomosis of the joining ends would be the ideal sugical solution for short segment stenosis. Muscle release may need to be considered to reduce tension at the anastomotic site whenever necessary.
