Removal of an infected Gastric Band placed 7 year ago. The patient was admited due to epigastric pain and fever 38C for 3 weeks. The CT-scan showed multiple abscesses inside the abdomen along the tube of the Lap-Band and the gastroscopy showed an erosion on the gastric cardia with pus coming in the stomach. The first trocar was placed in the umbilicus. The dissection was quite difficult in the upper part of the abdomen due to the inflammation. The space is limited because of a mesh (20*30cm) placed onlay 4 years ago supraumbilically. The band was removed, the hole was sutured with 4 stitches of Vicryl 2.0 and a drain was placed.
